Another fun packed eating weekend in Las Vegas. This time I made sure I got reservations at L’Atelier at the MGM Grand.
I have to admit I love girly-drinks. I ordered their highly recommended raspberry mohito. I’ve chosen the seasonal menu, an 11 course tasting experience.
L’amuse bouche. Fois gras parfait with port wine and parmesan foam
Les Tomates. Heirloom tomato salad, basil oil and fleur de sel
My guest ordered a yellowtail carpaccio.
La saint-jacques. Sea scallop cooked in the shell with chive oil
My guest ordered the egg cocotte topped with a light spinach cream and golden croutons
Les langoustines. Langoustines cooked in their shells with green curry and coconut milk
My guest ordered the seared duck foie gras with sweet and sour wild berries
La Cebette. White onion tart with smoked bacon, quail egg “mirror” and green asparagus
Le Saumon. Lightly smoked salmon with fingerling in a buttery shellfish sauce with curry and baby leeks.
La caille. Fois gras stuffed free-range quail with mashed potatoes
Le boeuf. Cap of beef ribeye with roasted shallots
My guest ordered the dessert. Some kind of raspberry sorbet… anyone know?
La margharita. Yogurt ice cream with tequila gelee, fresh blackberries and pop rocks
La framboise. Raspberry medley and earl grey puffed rice krispies
